Booking Your Wedding Cake Maker / Designer
Once you’ve chosen your favourite wedding cake maker / designer book them up quickly to avoid disappointment. You may be expected to make a deposit at this stage to secure your booking - as with every supplier it’s a good idea to lay out in writing what is expected from each party.
The Wedding Cake Contract
Most Wedding Cake makers will usually have their own standard Wedding Cake Contract but make sure the following points are covered.
- Wedding date, times, and location of your reception.
- Contact information for your wedding cake maker and yourself or wedding organizer. Emergency contact numbers.
- A detailed description of the cake that you're buying - itemise flavour, filling, number of tiers, number of slices, icing or frosting type, decorations - jewellery and toppers, shape and stands.
- What is the Cancellation and Refund policy.
- An itemised list of any rental items such as stands that the maker will be supplying.
- Delivery schedule and set - up times at the reception Venue.
Who will be delivering the cake,
- Collection schedule if the top tier is being saved.
- Detail any last minute amendments to contract
- Wedding Cake Costs:
Total costs including VAT and delivery. Deposit amount and Payment dates. Balance amounts and payment dates. Any last minute amendments to prices agreed.
- Your Signature and the makers Signature.
